Help me out

Test drove a 35 coupe today...2003...drove nice and just has a few cosmetic issues...it has a faded hood but i think its could be cleaned up with a good detail. Here is the listing...also has a minor crack in the rear bumper. Not a very clean car but nothing is to the point where it can be fixed. Just got him to drop it to $9500. My next step is get it looked at by a mechanic. Car fax is good but has had three owners. Thoughts?

2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe PRICE JUST LOWERED TO $9,995!

Great condition sports car with a low 71,293 miles. Well maintained and runs great. 100% Clean CarFax available (just pulled it today).

Exterior is Desert Platinum (Silver), interior is black leather. 5-speed automatic. Fully loaded with pop-up navigation, rear spoiler, alloy rims, power seats, heated seats, sunroof, satellite radio ready, 6-CD disc changer, Nav DVD is in dashboard above glove box, premium Bose sound system and more!

No apparent or known mechanical issues. Drives great. Owned it less than a year. Purchased from Carmax where it was completely inspected/checked out. Passed VA state emissions with no problems. I've only used synthetic oil. Only exterior issue is a slight fading of paint on the either side of the hood.

Doesn't look too bad...needs either a 3m headlight restoration or some new headlights.

Yeah, the headlights are bad...what does a restoration cost or new headlights for that matter...owned a dozen or so cars and never had to do that. Thanks for the reply

The 3m kit is around $16 at autozone or a place like that. It comes with the sand paper you will use to gradually buff out the oxidation and eventually the polish it comes with to clear them out and protect them in the future. I got mine totally haze free but it still doesn't beat new/used 06-07 projectors
When I had my reflectors the before and after with the kit...

It makes for an easy clean up of your front end especially when they're severely hazed as opposed to buying used projectors here from another member that may cost you around $500
In the end though if you got the $ go with the projectors for the better light output and more "modern" look.

Thanks for this! I'll totally jump on this if my lamps ever need some cleaning.

More than likely yeah it will be. I'm not sure any type of haze could be possible on the inside unless they're cracked

I used the Turtle wax restoration kit for mine, which looked much hazier. Turned out okay, but the issue is that the lens are polycarbonate based, meaning UV light causes it to yellow over time. Once you sand the top layer the UV protectant is gone. The Turtle wax kit with came with some protectant but it wears off faster. I'm having to redo the restoration every year. Just being cheap until I invest in projectors. Also for our headlights the haze is only outer.
