Cool 5 months to search

So I am in the market for either one of these (all stick)
-2004 G35 COUPE
-2005 G35 COUPE
-2006 G35 COUPE
-2008 Civic SI (IF ALL ELSE FAIL ignore ATM)

My question is (are)
How long will the g35 last provided previous owner did a decent job taking care of it and I will provide it the highest possible care?
What is a good mile range for purchasing the cars based on year models?price range?
What are the monthly or annual maintenance stuff to watch out in the car?
How is the reliability compared to the 3series?civic? (scale from 1-10, 1 being the BMW and 10 as the civic)

I will not be modding deep, probably just boltons

You are better of going for the 06. Redesigned interior, bright crisp projector headlights, nicer tail lights and probably lower mileage than an older G35.

Problems are window motors and crappy OEM Bose head units. I'm sure that the oil consumption problem was fixed by 06.

I have had my 06 since 38K and am about to hit 80K with no major issues. The BMW is in a different league all together. Nicer car but more $ all around. If you want something faster, just save up and get a faster car. You can spend thousands and the G won't be very fast unless you Super or Turbo charge it. That is me comparing it to other cars I have driven, including the G37.

As far as the Honda goes, hit this guy up if you have questions.

Just get the newest model, with the least amount of miles you can afford.

Me specifically...i'd target an 06-07 Coupe.

No matter what yr you maintenance history is important! I bought a 05x with 84,650 miles and all maintenance records since mile 10. It looks and runs like new!

OK. So I have decided to go with either the 05 or 06 coupe (06 prefer but 05 if 15k mileage difference)
What are the stuff to check when buying?
I plan to get a Nissan/Infiniti guy to do a pre-purchase inspection too.
Also, insurance will be under parents.
Is 12-14k a reasonable price for ~70-80K miles?
