Looking to buy a 05' G35X
Hi,
I am new & have recently looked at a 2005 Silver G35x Sedan to possibly purchase. The car has about 98k miles, is fully loaded (Bose, Navi, heated leather seats, etc), comes with remote start. And was listed on Craigslist for $8,000 / OBO. The car does have a prior salvage. The seller is open to offers.
Initial cons: Airbag was deployed & has since not been replaced, SSE on for a generic code P0455 (seems like a simple fix from research), Air Bag light on (new airbag never installed), and VDC Off light on.
Initial pros: Probable good price, low miles, seems to handle/drive fine, interior seemed good
I was told the car was hit in the rear passenger side door and some damage had occurred to front passenger door. I couldn't tell from looking it had been in an accident. I am not opposed to a prior salvage/rebuilt title with some of its downfalls that go with it (low resale & trade-in issues) but just wanted to see if the issues above are of real concerns.
This car I believe was damaged in the Twin Cities, MN metro area around June of 2013. It has recently been inspected and given a rebuilt title (per Car Fax). History shows 4 owners, current owner only having owned it for about 5 months.
Any thoughts and recommendations would be great. If any luck, maybe someone on here from MN may know of the car and how bad the impact was.
Appreciate feedback

My opinion...
Move on. G35's are common.
Salvage title, plus requiring work and warning lights on the dash are a huge turn off to me.

I wouldn't touch it. there are plenty of g35x's with similar miles and clean titles for similar prices. heck my 06 g35x only has 49k and i'd sell it for 13.5-14k and clean title as a comparison. point is you can get a much better car for the price i think.
