2008 G35 Journey Sedan 90k miles

I was wondering if this was a good deal. I wanted to do a pre purchase inspection by infiniti but when I googled their locations the closest one was 50miles away. This car was a rental for 30k miles and it doesn't seem like they were good on oil changes according to the car fax. The second owner on the other hand did a fine job. The 3rd only had it for about 10k miles and didn't do much. Also does the 08 G35 have the infamous oil consumption problem? I read up that the 07 and below does but I never really saw 08. What's your thought on this car before I got down there on Saturday to check it out.

Thumbs up 2008 Infiniti G35 Owner (Sedan Stock Model) No Oil consumption issues

I am assuming as the links don't work anymore that you bought the car or someone else picked it up.

I love my G, only thing I dislike about it is everyone is telling me there is no way to upgrade the Non-Bose radio as it incorporates the climate control system. I will be tearing my dash apart in the near future to see if there is a easy work around. Was informed when I was in Hawaii getting Alpine subs installed that the only way to do it was to keep the stock unit in the glove box and then pop it to adjust climate, NO THANKS!

Only issue I have had with mine (133k miles) is I had to change out the passenger side front catalytic converter.

Mine does not consume excess amounts of oil like the 07 and newer models.

Honestly I'd rather deal with putting in 1 extra quart of oil every oil change then have to deal with blown actuator gaskets like the HR is notorious for so...

Usually I recommend people just step up to a VQ37VHR equipped G37 because basically all the wrinkles were ironed out by that point unless you got a stellar deal on an HR equipped G35.

I don't know that much about my car yet... still learning. I plan on keeping mine as my daily driver until the engine blows and then was looking at making it a street legal / semi drag (new motor) will end up trying to get to at least 600+ HP at that point, but goal is to try and get to around 800+.

Thanks for the information though.
