Unhappy

G35x - $33,100 (List price)
Package C - $3,500.
Which comes out to a total of $36,600. Seems very high.
Does List price mean MSRP (i.e. Sticker Price)???
What is the invoice price??

I got my 05 G35x with Package C for $33,656 which is almost $3,000 lower.

Can someone tell me if the prices have gone up/????????

In Canada prices for the '06 have all gone up roughly $300 compared to '05..the exception being sedan's w/ navigation are actually $50 cheaper than '05's

I think that is part of the debate. You probably got your 05 at invoice or less. I doubt you will be able to get an 06 at invoice this year. I don’t think Bluetooth is worth the extra few thousand dollars you will pay for an 06. What do you think?

Huh? How is bluetooth worth anymore than about $120. You can just buy a Bluetooth headset for around $120. So what makes you think buying an 06 G35 sedan is a good deal? You can get new 05’s well below invoice or a well equipped used 05 for about $29K. Why would you want to spend closer to MSRP for an 06? Since you are an Infiniti Sales Consultant I would expect you to hope that people will still flock to buy the 06. In reality though it doesn’t make good financial sense to buy an 06 G35 over an 05 G35! I wouldn’t order to many 06 Sedans if I was you until you sold all of the new 05s that you have. This is different than when the 05s came out because the 05s had some significant changes. The 06 G35 sedan is the same as an 05 in my opinion. The 06 coupe does have some interesting features that someone might consider though.

I dont think he means the 06 is better deal over 05, he just means the 06 is a good deal at the price its selling for compared to other entry-lux cars.

Isn't satellite radio also added to all premium packages? This would be another $350 option thrown in. From an earlier infinitinews.com press release:

The 2006 G35 sedan adds minor features.

Enhancements to the 2006 G35 Sedan include:
· Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone system and satellite radio added to all Premium Packages
· New exterior color – Liquid Platinum

And the Liquid Platinum is actually real platinum, so the extra cost is really a bargain!

On another note the nav costs 200 less and the xm costs 50 less compared to 05.

The fact still remains that you can get an 05 for more than $3000 off of sticker price. You would be lucky to get an 06 at anything more than $1500 off of sticker if you could even come anywhere near that. That is a huge difference for cars that are almost identical.

If you live in a competitive market (like SoCal or NY/NJ), you should be able to get a good deal on an 06. Here in metro NY, dealers have to be flexible with the customer since there are so many other "options" (like a dozen other Infiniti dealers as well as numerous Acura & BMW dealers) out there.
