Thank you.
Do you really think many (if any) owners on this website are going to tell you not to get a G?... If you have to ask, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Have you driven both? If so, what is your response to your question?...

BTW - if your parents are footing the bill, why are you limiting yourself to these two cars?

Congrats on your impending G. Jags are pretty and luxurious, but if you really like to drive, the G is the car to get. The spoiler is pretty much it with the aero package. You get underbody diffusers, but they don't make much of a difference. Personal taste on the spoiler, but I used to have one with a spoiler and now I like the one I have without a spoiler. You can always add one later.

Make absolutely sure you get the sport suspension. There is a big difference in handling between sport/non-sport. You'll likely get summer tires too, so ask about that if you live in the snow belt. Summers are deadly in cold/snow.

That might be in your case but generally its 300-500 a year difference. when we traded in out '00 Eclipse GT for our G35, our insurance cost dropped $320 a year.

Don't take offense, but only an idiot would buy a Jaguar. I remeber my bf saying this when I told him someone we new bought one.

I new they were not very reliable, but he made a comment about an article he had just read that compared the Jaguar to 6-10 other cars and it finished in dead last or close to. I think it was Car and Driver.

Yea, Car and Driver always throws the Jag X type in the mix of G's...3's...A4's...CTS'...ETC.

The Jag is always in the back...and the G is always 1st or 2nd. Actually now it's 3rd behind the new IS350 and BMW 330..but it's still a great value and a great car.

Paulie - do yourself a favor and read up in this forum - use search and look for different topics like the plusses/minuses/comparissons/issues/goodies and such.

Remember it is up to you. Go drive the cars and pick the one you like. And be thankful you are fortunate enough to have parents who are buying you a $35,000 car.

No offense here, but I think you are both off. Frankly if you need a car to attract a chick (or a dude, whatever your case may be) you need to get more than a specific kind of car - like maybe a personality or a life.

If a chick were into me because of my car I wouldn’t have much use for her.

if you want to attract girls with taste and style get a G. if you want to attract girls who want your money get a Jag. JK.

PaulieJr: I just got my G35 sedan the other day. I was in a bit of dilemma myself. I was unsure of which car to buy since this will be my first BRAND NEW car. I looked into the 325ci, TSX, A4 and other cars. I did my research and so should you. I joined many different forums and read about the good and the bad of each cars. Looking at galleries to see what people done to their car to get an idea for myself. What helped the most was actually test driving the car. Go with a buddy, have the sales rep sit in the back, and just enjoy the drive because that's how it's going to feel everyday.

Hey Chico: Sdn all the way for a single guy - more room in the backseat for those "no vacancy" situations
