Anything wrong with buying used?
So, I was considering getting a new corolla or civic but after seeing some of the prices for those cars loaded($20,000+
) I decided to look for a used G35 sedan, for a few grand more it's much more car. (I can cut back on the fast food. heck, i'll spare myself a couple of pounds in the process
)
Is it a good idea to get a used G35? The only advantage I can think of for getting the civic or corolla is dependability and gas(which i'm not to afraid of).
Reliabilty is also a major factor. I plan to keep the car for a long time. Probably 5 or more years..(one of my current cars is 10 years old with over 200K!! i've owned it since it was brand new. it's a toyota).
If I get a used G35 it will have less then 30K miles on it and cost anywhere from $20,000 to $25,000.
Thank you for your help and opinions.

Absolutely nothing wrong at all.
@ 30K miles it's barely broken in.
Just make sure you do your due diligence.
Check for service records & have it checked by an independant tech

The 03 and 04 models are identical. The only exceptions are the early early 03's have the "doggy door" trunk lid. Also, the earlier 6mt's don't have an armrest I believe, but you can add that on yourself.
The G35 is good car, it's not perfect, but what car is? But overall, it seems to have a good reliability where it counts. I've got my car for 28k now, it's had a rattle here, a squeaky chair there....but the engine runs strong, I feel stronger now than when I first got it. Transmission is good, all in all a good reliable Japanese car.
