Dealer experience

Newbie here,
I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks and have gathered some great info on the G35,thanks a lot guys! I'm looking to get either a coup or sedan(auto) for my wife whose AudiA4 lease is up. Went to the dealer today and told him I'm looking at both. He said no 06coupes have been sold and he has yet to get any in (hmm). I drove an 05 X and enjoyed it. When it came to #s for a lease He came out with:05Coupe-$34810 MSRP
$32000 asking
$3000 down 36 month=$412 per month

06SedanX-$33870 MSRP
$32000 asking
same term=$474 per month

I wonder how they geet that monthly payment amount? And is the difference due to the reidual only?? I could also buy the car but the lease deals seem pretty good. What doyou THink?
Thanks,
Jimbo912

overall sounds like pretty bad deals.
Check your sale price against the invoice price on edmunds.com
Should be around invoice on the 05 coupes, less 1k on the 05 sedans.
For 06,the closer you can get to invoice the better.

Lease numbers on each look a little off.
Money factor on the 05 should be around .00113-139 with 56-58% residual.
06 MF is around .00210-240 with around a 59% residual.

With around 2-3k down on fully loaded 06x cars, (msrp around 38-39k) i was seeing quotes for 460-500.
Your quote for msrp 33870 sounds pretty stripped to me.
