I bought mine in July of 2004.
If you want to save money, think about dropping the NAVI. To me NAVI looks cool, but that is about it. Something that never gets used, but if you think you are going to have a need for it then by all means.

I would rather take that $2000 and buy a laptop computer. For a little over $100 you can buy a program that has GPS and NAVI and have a laptop you can take anywhere.

But that is just me.
