2006 G35 coupe 6MT comes with Brembos?????

Hi guys!

First time here!

Wen't to my local Infiniti Dealer to test drive an '06 G35 coupe 6MT but I didn't see the awesome huge orangy 4 piston calipers on the front or the back.

What's up with that?

It says on the infiniti website that the car comes with Brembos..

See it here:

http://www.infiniti.com/form/model/B...127012,00.html

Anyone has an answer?

Thanks in advance!

regards,

Joel

This has been brought up time and time again-Infiniti is notorious for making mistakes in their decriptions.
Only the 03, 04's have brembos. Search next time.

Yup, when you change the drop-down to 6MT, it says standard equipment includes:

G35 Coupe 6MT: Accelerate with a 6-speed manual transmission with short throw shifter, Brembo brakes, 19-inch 5-spoke forged aluminum-alloy wheels, and limited-slip rear differential.

But that just aint' so. Have not had them since '04.

On that page, select the trim level (G35 Coupe 6MT) and read the description under the vehicle.

it seems misleading to me. Mazda got hammered when they misprint the HP on the RX8 2 years ago, giving money back to the people who bought the car thinking that it had xx amount of horsepower. So i guess we will do nothing and let Infiniti get away with that? That's a lawsuit witing to happen... it's like $3500 in missing equipment.

oh... and thanks for the warm welcome...

You've got to be kidding me. There is no way you're gonna win a lawsuit about brakes. You go the the dealer. You test drive the car. You do a walk around. If by the time you sign the paperwork you haven't noticed you don't have brembo's, then you deserve what you get.

rOFL... If Brembo brakes are the deciding factor on if you should purchase said car or not, you might need to re-shuffle your priorities.

The 2005+ G's don't come with brembos anymore. they were 1. Too costly to mass produce and infiniti loses money 2. They wear down a lot and have a lot of problems. So infiniti decieded to just make there own brakes and slapped them on for the 05's+

You can always look into a BBK upgrade or buy someones 03/04 Brembo's if you really adore the brakes that much.

A lot of Problems Mine are the best brakes I have ever had on a factory Automobile. I have had no issues, and don't recall posts on this or any other forum where owners had problems with the Brembos. True, some have complained about the cost of pads and rotors, and some are not happy with the dust. BUT, performance - They are fantastic They were a major decision point when I bought my coupe. The 5AT Brakes in '03 were grabby and had no feel. If the Brembos were not available, I would not have bought the car.

Hes right tho...if it does state that it has brembo's (including on window sticker) Then you do have a right to file lawsuit, and you WILL WIN. And for "trey hutcheson"...are you telling me you go over every single part on that car before you bought it? I sure as hell didnt. When you buy a brand new car from a big company, you shouldnt have to look over the car as if your buying a USED one. Two days after i purchased my car, I noticed that both right side wheels had curb rash on them. I called the dealer and they switched them right up for me. So JoelPirela does defenatly have a point, only problem is does it say that on the window sticker....and if not, your probably a$$ed out.

JoelPirela - dont worry about some guys here. Generally people are real nice. Once in a while tho you tend to run into a flock of tards
