Hi guys, I'm planning on purcashing a G35 6MT used and don't know if I should get 04 or 05. I know that 04 will be cheaper but just wondering quality wise if there is a difference from 04 to 05. Also the 05 has few more horses. So any input would be great guys. Arigato!

 

coupe or 4 dr?

 

I'm going for the coupe version.

 

05 has new aluminum dash... i dont mind my 04 dash. the 04 has brembos... but the 05 has the 19's... the extra horses dont make the car any faster so dont consider that./... its really up to you. Im glad i have an 04 personally... but i know a lot of people would rather have that 05 dash. My avn5435 is gonna look good in any dash tho so id rather have the brembos lol

 

A couple other differences are (just going off of memory, correct me if I'm wrong):
-Nav screen is a little bigger in the 05
-10 ft-lb less torque in 05
-mp3 cd capability in 05
-power tip/tilt in steering wheel and driver's seat (= more weight)
-04 18" wheels are cast AL, 05 19" wheels are forged (made by Rays, I think)

 

05 break pads last awhile and very low dust.

my vote would be 05 over 04
