G reliability and maintence costs?

I am considering purchasing a used G coupe possibly in the next year and a half or so. And I was just curious how well the reliability is for G's and if their maintence costs are expensive? Thanks.

I would guess in year and half, the 08's G will be somewhat different than current one's, so you will have no way of knowing what kind of reliability it will have then, but so far the G dont have major problem on the drive train, some ppl reported clutch need to be replace sooner than usual, few squeak/creak here and there, some window motor issues on 03~04 models...I dont see why G's maintence would be expensive, it dont need special oil or short interval for change it, of course if you take it to dealership it will certainly cost you more, other up-keeps like tires and brakes might need to be replaced sooner than some other cars, on my 03 coupe, the tires last about 25k, front brake pads and rotors need to be replaced at 13k and 27k and rear pads replaced at 19k but those were under warranty tho.

G35's score very high in Consumer Reports and that is all the info you need.

Unbiased.

+ 1 on Consumer Reports. It seems as if most everyone rates the G very high in reliability and resale value for that matter.

I pay $34.99 for oil changes at my dealer.

cool, thanks guys. So as long as I do all the oil changes on time, which is no problem for me since I work at a shop, a G should last me a long time? Also the G has a timing chain right? So no timing belt replacement at 100k is neccessary?

i go to walmart buy the 5 quart jug of Mobilone 5W-30 synthetic 20, schedule my oilchange at the dealer and pay him 6 bucks for the new filter and 18 for the change. He offers to wash my car, i say no.

Grand total = 44 dollars.
