ummm, with your GST and PST taxes adding nearly 15% to everything you buy, your taxes seem higher than ours from this perspective. Sure, your health care is included, but if you're a healthy american, many forgo the cost until they think they need it.

looking at numbers and considering the US population, our crime numbers are higher, but yours are proportionate to ours. You're fooled by the lower numbers, but thats just because the entire population of Canada is equal to that of California ALONE.
