$500.00 over invoice
Gentlemen and ladies, I just recieved an offer for $500.00 over dealer invoice for an 06 coupe(liquid platinum) 6MT with premium package. I think that's a decent deal...Any comments would be greatly appreciated

p.s. this is from a bay area dealer(northern california)

$500 over invoice is definitely a fair price. What part of the bay area are you in? I just got my coupe for $200 over invoice from Frontier Infiniti in Santa Clara.
Watch out for hidden costs that dealers like to add in to get your money. It is very easy for people to research invoice prices these days, thanks to the internet. Because of that, dealers will often try to make money back in other ways that aren't necessarily easy to spot.

I got that same deal for my '05 6MT Athens Blue coupe - Prem Package, Sirius, mat, etc. no hidden costs either.
It was the ONLY dealer in my area with that offer out of 8 dealerships I checked out. That was between 2/05 to 6/05 for the '05s.
If you live in CA, I'd say that is the deal of the year - however I believe Infiniti has increased production for '06

I worked with Marvin. Marvin had like 15 salesman of the month/year plaques on his desk, so I know he was good =) . He was a cool dude, and willing to work with me. I sold cars in the past and still am in sales. I let him know this and told him I wasn't going to BS around. Actually, I could have gotten it lower, but I feel that it's rude to go any less that that (from being in the business in the past).
The easiest way to get a low price is just to call up the dealership, talk to someone and tell them that another dealership has offered you $300 over and ask them to beat it and you will come down to buy the car.
I got an IP coupe coming, no premium, no sunroof, bare bones! Just how I like it.

Hey Keaka, how long do you have to wait until you get the car. I'm in the same boat as all I want is 6MT with a sunroof. I'll check out frontier infiniti...I recieved the 500 over invoive from peninsula in redwood city.....Aslo, what "hidden" costs do these guys try to pull?????...

I did $499 over invoice for my 06 6MT Premium in January. I would think that 500 over is fair but would also think that you could probably swing 250 of so over invoice if you tried now.

Also, theres a lot of markup in extended warranties, paint protection, clear bra, etc etc. So if you DO want any of that, be sure to negotiate those prices down or just decline all of them.

I just came back from peninsula in redwood city and think I negotiated a pretty fair deal. Luiquid Platinum/graphite leather 06 coupe 6MT with just a sunroof for 500 over invoice. I could of haggled them down maybe another 100 bucks but I met my numbers and the car is on the boat somwhere in the pacific with my name on it
I negotiated with a gentleman named Brian Fortune and he was very helpful and not pushy at all. On the other hand, this dude at frontier infiniti by the name of larry was trying to sell me the car for over $1500 over invoice and saying it was the lowest he could go. Gotta love good ole fashioned capitalism
Anyway, thanks to all the folks who comment on this board as it really helped me negotiate a fair deal and will also help when I put some cool mods on my new G!!!!!!

Thanks limeg35. I should have it by then but i'll be working on that date in april...I won't even let them get close to trying to sell anything but what I have. My insurance company offers an extended warranty and I can purchase that anytime before the factory one expires. Can't wait to put my on my tein coilovers and stillen sways when I take delivery of my G

When I went to Peninsula, I dealt with Mr. Fortune as well. Seemed like a nice enough guy. I had originally planned to purchase my G from him, then I found my better deal at Frontier. /shrug.
PS Dont pay for paint protection. If you really feel like ya need it, make sure you negotiate a better price on that too!

you're going to have your G before I do. Mines still on the boat from Japan. The dealer should show you the invoice price which is $31,084 for a base 06 G35 coupe with 6MT Now the premium package is an extra $2,500 and the rear active steer is another 600 and the aero another 400 or 500. The destination charge is included in the invoice price. The only extras should be tax and license fees. Taxes here are 8.25% and i'm not sure what regisration costs...As all dealers do, they will try to sell you the extended warrany, the zaino crap and a trunk mat for 80 bucks....Hope that helps. Who are you going to buy from??? George from frontier infiniti offered me 100 bucks less that peninsula's price....Good Luck
What options are you looking for? Hit up Lawrence at Tustin Infiniti; I got my coupe for a great price from him.
