Got Some Lease Quotes On The M35 and M45... in Socal..any good?

Was at the dealership for a couple of hours wheeling and dealing, I ended up leaving more confused....

Tax in L.A. County is about 8.25% which is included with the price quotes...

'06 M35 Sport, Journey, Technology, and full Aero Kit (About $51k Sticker); told me the best deal they could do would be a 39 month lease 12k miles...1100 out of pocket and $650 a month.

Sales manager comes out and starts to upsell me on an M45...

'06 M45 Sport, Journey, Technology, and DVD flip down screen but no Aero(About $58k Sticker); 24 months, 12k miles, $2k total out of pocket/down with $675 a month.

Honestly, both cars are out my price range, I wish I could find the M35 cheaper. Curious to know what you guys think about these deals, are they trying to hose me?

Thanks,
Mike

Oh yea, they said the best on the m35 they could do was 500 over invoice...but on the m45 they were willing to actually go below invoice.

I like how they dont make two deals have same terms, one is 24 mos and other is 39mos, guess they just hope you get confuesed and sign the paper work

From what I can tell, the sale price of the M35 is bit under 45k with 0.002MF and 50% residual, not sure if thats going price of M35 or not , and M45 is at 48K with 0.002MF and 63% residual, if you take M45 for 39mos the payment would be very close to M35's payment...Kinda hard to think they will discount 10k off the M45, of course they might have some special leasing going on now.

Lime,

I kept asking the sales manager about leasing the m45 for 36 months, he's like no...."only 24....there's no 36" Which was kind of pissing me off, he was really pushing me towards the m45.

Honestly, I didn't even bring up the m45...after they told me the prices on the m35, I told them to do better. Then the sales manager came out and started up selling me on the m45, and he said he was willing to go below invoice.

In the end, I walked out on the deals they had on the table because like I said, both payments are out of my price range. Today I got a phone cal from the sales associate and he lefta message "We have great news for you, call the dealership and ASAP, we have great news, bla bla" Basically, I think they are willing to go a little bit lower.

Lime, do you think thats a good deal on the m35? You think I can do a LOT better or just a little bit? If this is about tthe best I can get, give or take 50 bucks....600 a month is still too much....do I need to be looking at a different car? I guess I do.

I really cant say, for one they might have some special leasing going on with limited terms, if M35 was MSRP at 51580? the invoice is 46945(edmunds), now if the 1.1k you mentioned was total out of pocket cost? then you are lease that car less than 45k with normal rate(0.002MF/50%residual), so its hard to say it is good or geat deal?

I hate to say this, but I do think you might want to look at lesser car or M35/45 with bit less options? thats if 600~650 is out of your budget. but consider that most ppl leased G35 coupe for around 450~500 ish for 48 mos, so maybe something in bewteen? Audi A4 3.2/BMW 330i/lexus IS/ES350/GS300...?
