Employee Discount Pricing??

My brother will be taking a job with Nissan soon.

My question is... Do I get an employee discount? If so, what would that discount be on a G35? What about a G37? any guesses? does anyone know from experience?

If you're thinking about answering me then thanks for your time I appreciate it. If you thinking about telling me to do a search... don't waste your time.

If he can get you VPP price, its usually $2-400 over invoice. That being said, I'm not sure on Nissan's policy for family members getting VPP pricing, you may have to wait for him to work them for a while first.

The VPP code is most of the time only valid on the employee himself. as far as family members, they'll get deals but won't be valid for any codes.

i know someone who works for nissan corporate and i was able to use his friends and family discount. he set up all of my information in their system and when i went into infiniti, i just gave them my VPP number and there was no haggling on the price. not all dealerships participate in the VPP, but most large ones do.

i ended up saving about $4K and since it's a corporate discount, the dealership was kissing my @ss like none other

+1.. I did VPP through my company and was amazed. I went in talking to them like I was a normal customer and they wanted to split the difference between sticker and invoice. Lol.. I was like, "I dunno about that... I'd like to do the VPP thing." He goes into a spill saying you have to qualify for blah blah blah, have to have a number, etc, and I said "Oh ok... In that case, here's my number". When he approached the sales manager with it, the sales manager took over and I was taken care of. No problems, no hassles. Absolutely the best car buying experience ever!

So VPP pricing is only 2~400 above invoice?...Not a huge difference than what most ppl are paying now days, consider most ppl(on here) are paying around 5~700 above invoice.

True... It's not a substantial savings, but sooo much easier. I didn't have to haggle with them. Just gave the number, they put in all the VPP and it shot out a price. That's it.

Employees at Nissan get two lease vehicles per year. Lease is discounted heavily and includes all maintenance and insurance. I've got a friend who works at Nissan and drives a G35. He pays $450/mo and gets 25,000 miles to use that year.

Once you become a supervisor and management you get the cars for free.

Yeah, that's my lucky brother. He gets to pick a free car. They even give him money for insurance... He already has a G35 though. I don't know what he's going to pick... probably a Z.

Thanks for your responses. That's good information.
