What's in Hamilton lol... Anything worth stopping for on the way up to Toronto?

Parking situation: I haven't been to Toronto since I was like 2 so I have no clue how the parking is around the area.

Is it going to humid?
Noticed the restaurant special event and street nighton the calender probably will be doing some of those.
I'll be on the road on July 8th. Planning to stay for 5 days, leaving July 13th around noon.

To get over the border etc, do I need just my license/ID or do I need a passport?
1) What's in Hamilton? I'm going to risk offending the one Hamilton member on this board and say "nothing". Get to Toronto ASAP.

2) It's not hard to park in Toronto compared to Boston. There are a ton of lots and a lot of street parking.

3) Humid? Haha, yes.

4) Just License/ID. Passport thing doesn't start till next year.

If you're going to Hamilton odds are you'll be coming across near Buffalo then going up the QEW to Hamilton/Toronto. I'm not sure if you've seen Niagara Falls, but it's on the way and might be worth a stop. There's a casino that's half decent there too. Otherwise get on the QEW and get to Toronto ASAP.

Looks like I won't be up there till end of July. I just got rescheduled for my tune.

I'm going to be checking the canada forums for any good meets coming up!

I already started getting all the car necessities.. such as 3 cans of fix a flat

I drove up to Buffalo my SR year of HS alone in my Hyundai.. It wasn't all that bad.

Another Q on the ID thing.. is there an age requirement?

Thanks for all the support guys!

Remember to leave the wrenches that came with your Tein suspension conveniently in the glovebox.

Hey D_S...
You got a trailer for that beast????

If you do.....
I've got some drop shipped parts in Niagara Falls that you can pickup for me on the way through.

Nope.. no trailer.. I'm driving the whole way down..
What do you need picked up? If it's small and no the way, I don't mind grabbing it.. Keep in mind I will have the G with no trunk (floor system).

Running into a Utec issue right now.. so hopefully I can get it fixed before I head down.

Next Q is.. hotels/motels whatever. What is a relatively inexpensive place to stay? I mean.. I will pay a little extra for a safe/clean place especially a safe place for the G.

If you're looking to stay in Buffalo before crossing over, here's what seems a great deal abouot 20 min. from the border. Good for any of you doing an overnight by Walden Galleria ( shop till you drop )
Otherwise, check out Toronto Tourism on the web for some deals. Most of the hotels are G safe.

-la grande residence at sutton place

^^should all be around 120$us/night

also... if u already have a passport... bring it. it will alleviate any headaches u may come across. if no passport... try to bring your birth certficate as backup. have a fun trip

Alright... Everything's been confirmed for good now. GF and I finally got to take vacation days off work etc.

Been delaying it alot and such.. Had some car issues with the G etc. Didn't want to drive it to Toronto like that.

Aug 20th-24th and maybe staying the 25th depending on scheduling.

I plan on leaving Boston @ 3am the 20th and getting there in the afternoon to check into the hotel. We are making a schedule of what we're doing this weekend. If you guys want to meet up let me know, I will make room for it. I already told the GF that if she doesn't want to go, I'll leave her at a mall or something >=).

We will be staying at the Sheraton in Central Toronto, I still need to confirm they have parking etc for the G.
