Trust me... you wouldn't want an IS350 with Lexus' 6MT tranny.

I drove a 6MT IS250, and the shifter feel reminded me of stirring warm oatmeal... vaguest-shifting POS tranny I've ever used (worse than a '78 BMW 520i 4MT with blown syncros).

Fair enough

Driving an S2000 has ruined transmissions for me...everything else is poo by comparison.

Ya, I thought Nissan's 6MT was the cat's ***, until I drove a 2006 TSX with the Honda 6MT... they really have that part of the car down-pat.

BMW makes a great 6MT too, but Lexus/Toyota are wayyyyyyyy behind in distant 4th (or 5th, behind 4th place Mitsubishi, who also makes a pretty rubbery-feeling stick).

i dunno - i've never thought my 350z tranny was above average. the shifting is definitely short, but requires a lot of effort and almost too much feedback through the shifter.

i've driven my friends 330ci and i don't htink that shifter was any good either...it was too smooth, too soft. the new z4 m coupe shifter seems good (only used it in the showroom) and i have not tried an m3 shifter before.
