G35/350Z Vancouver Summer 2006 BBQ Meet

G35/350Z Vancouver Summer 2006 BBQ Meet

Date: Sunday, July 30, 2006
Time: 1:00PM
Location: Large Parking Lot on W.4th Ave before heading towards Jericho Beach
Cruise Start Time: 2:00PM
BBQ Location: Cates Park in Deep Cove (Covered Area)
Arrival Time: approx 3:00PM ~ 3:30PM
Cost: About $5 per member (Final cost to be determined upon total headcount. This covers for the reservation fee with the NV Parks Dept of the Covered BBQ Area)

We had a fun meet back in May this year and are looking forward to a bigger turnout for this July meet. Since we will be having a BBQ for this meet, we would like participants to sign up and list what items you will be bringing. Bring your own meat to BBQ. Any other items (i.e. snack food, drinks, fruit, salads, BBQ stoves, napkins, utensils, etc) you can bring in addition to share with others are greatly appreciated.

Itinerary:

1:00PM – 2:00PM
Meet up with fellow members at the W. 4th Ave parking lot just before the right turn off to Jericho Beach.

2:00PM - 3:30PM
Start cruise to Cates Park in Deep Cove. We’ll head over the Burrard St Bridge, along Robson St, over the Lions Gate Bridge, along Marine Dr into Deep Cove.

3:30PM – whenever
BBQ time & enjoying the weather.

(For those that find the cruise portion to be of inconvenience, you can always meet us directly at Cates Park at 3:30PM.)

Again, as always, please wash your car prior to the meet to ensure it is presentable for any photo taking. Highly recommended for those who have FRS Radios (i.e. Walkie Talkies) to bring them in case we get caught between traffic lights during the group cruise and for us to maintain communications. (Lost communication seems to happen at every meet for those with no radios!) Also, if we could have some members bring digi-video camcorders to tape some footages, that would be great.

Please sign up if you are interested in attending, if cruise or no cruise, and list item(s) you will be bringing. That way, we know who to wait for before we start the cruise.

Here is our original thread:

If anyone is interested in attending, please sign up either on our site, or if not a member on G35.ca, you can also sign up below and I can copy and paste the names over to our list.

Good meet Setup

Cool..this sounds like a meet worth going to. Maybe if I start out today from Scarborough, I'll make it in time.

WTH happened to g35.ca???

Site has been down for 3 or more days now!

If anyone signed up for the Vancouver July 30th meet and has questions, I think this would be the best place to look for answers at the moment.

The site has been down and the site owner is currently working on restoring it.

As far as everyone is concerned, the meet is still on. If you are a member on that board and also a member on this board and have signed up for the meet, please bring whatever food/drink items you can. Packing a cooler with ice is highly recommended so that your grilling meat and other food/drink items stays chilled and fresh prior to reaching the park. If anyone else can bring additional portable BBQ's, that would be much appreciated. So far, we have 2.

Hope to see you all there on Sunday!

I wish it was as simple as that . Apparently the server was hacked. We are trying to restore it.

Sorry for responding so late. Haven't been in front of the computer all day.

I'm bringing a steak for myself. Also brining some plates, forks, knives, spoons, napkins, cups, some 2L bottles of pop to share with everyone. Still thinking if I need to pickup anything else. Maybe some last minute grocery shopping tomorrow morning?

If you guys can bring some other stuff (like chicken wings, salads, vegetable platter, fruit, more pop, juices, etc). It sounds like some people will bring hotdogs and hamburgers. But bring what you can. We can always make a food assessment once we are at the parking lot tomorrow and decide if we need to make a 20+ G/Z run to Safeway to pickup some extra goodies. That would definitely be a sight!
