I'm in! This weekend is good - next weekend is out (recovering from gall bladder surgery), then the 7th (October) is our 11th anniversary - but other than that - wide open (no surgical pun intended). Maybe we need a new thread...

hahaha yes I read that and wondered what Deane meant. We have driven there throughout the seasons. As a matter of fact we were there one bright snowy winter's day and it was just beautiful.

It takes awhile to flash (break down), so it can take a little practice to get results. I like it because it can be used in the sun and will not dust. Links:

opt hyper (aggressive, for heavy swirl removal) http://eshine.ca/proddetail.php?prod=158

Opt compound (medium, light swirl removal) http://eshine.ca/proddetail.php?prod=145

Opt Polish (finishing polish)
http://eshine.ca/proddetail.php?prod=147

Now, if you want menzerna you have to go to DI, which is fine. I would only do this if you intend on polishing your whole car, otherwise stick with optimim or poorboys polishes. Here are DI's menzerna links:

powergloss (super heavy, for very heavy compouding only) http://www.detailedimage.com/store/p...roducts_id=424

intensive polish (great moderate polish, for light to moderate swirls)http://www.detailedimage.com/store/p...products_id=97

final polish II (my favorite finishing polish)

Hello Kevin,
You said if you want to polish your entire car go with menzerna products. I want to polish my entire car, but not so keen on ordering from the US website myself, I rather stick with eshine. Can I just use "Opt compound" for the entire car?
Also, after using the compound for the swirl removal, do you still do another coat of the finishing polish? Or is it one or the other, but not both?

Thanks for the info!

Yes you can. I only recommend Menzerna because the Opt line is a little tough to leanr. Not tough to use really, it's just different in some ways from other polishes because they have more oils, so they don't dust (which is good), but they *do* take much longer to break down. The key with Opt Compound/Polish is working them for a long time. The abrasives in them break down via friction, not heat like many other polishes. When you're ready to start let me know and I will do my best to walk you through it.

Cheers.

Good pics Igor.
Thought I should get off my butt and post a few also. Also in my pics as others have mentioned, Sam is ON his knees again.
