The Infiniti sales manager let me take one overnight and return the next day. This worked for me and the dealer because I just had to buy it after that.

Like Alan says, they will probably go with you. The ones that went with me let me drive them like I stole them .

The first one I drove was an auto since they had no mt's. I had a co pilot from the dealership beside me. The next time I had a 6mt at home for the weekend.

It probably depends on the dealers policy and the potential buyer. I would think though, if they judge a person to be semi responsible, or if they can smell a sale, I think they would let a person take the car out on their own.

Middle aged guys have no trouble. If you watch them, salesmen just toss them the keys. A family friend (mid 40s) got to take a NSX (used) for a spin on his own. He was just looking at the car to kill time.

When my bro and I went to check out some F150's the guy didn't even take our license or insurance or anything just tossed us the keys... needless to say we my bro bought a 06 white F150 FX4 for about 100 below invoice ... so I guess it just depends on the salesmen and dealership

It totally depends on the dealership and their initial impressions of you. I've run the gamut from "take the car overnight" to "we can't let you on a test drive today".

I don't think I'm allowed to test drive any more cars at the Royfoss dealership after my drive in a CTS-V...the sales person didn't bother putting on his seatbelt, suffice to say at some point during the test drive he ended up with his back against the passenger side door, his left knee on the back of the seat and his right shoulder against dash.

Why not?

Actually it was 7:30 when I posted since I'm in Atlantic Canada. However, I was up at 5:55.

I got up and did some paper work in my office, followed by logging on before waiting for my house guests to arise. Then I went out for a run at 7:45 with a good friend. Okay?
