Hey guys, I should be able to go and bring my better half as well. Just found out that all the kids are gone that weekend. Yea!!!

As long as it's not pouring rain of course like it's supposed to this weekend.

Oh yeah, I probably won't be staying overnight unless they can lockup my car in a high security zone that has soldiers with guns standing post 24/7.

LOL. Although my car is nowhere close to yours in terms of desirability, I find that I face this problem everywhere I go. Before I park my car anywhere I ask myself: Is this spot good enough for the G? Is anyone gonna *** with my car?

I only saw a movie last night cuz I got a spot right up front and there were 2 other G's parked near by (btw, this car is getting way to common)

I know it's no Pagani Zonda, but it's still my baby...

In my case it's regarding my insurance. They only cover up to $1500 in upgrades if the car get stolen. My rims and tires alone cost 10Gs not to mention everything else that I have done to the car (audio system, motor, exhaust, etc.). I don't take any chances and she gets locked up every night in my garage with the car alarm armed and the house alarm armed and I still worry.

Sometimes I wish I didn't have her but then I get in for a ride and I forget all about my worries.

Damn insurance companies!

Well, that was over 3 years ago so I can't remember exactly unless I dig up the bill but I believe that the rears were around $2000 each and the front $1800 each. The tires were $700 each for the rears and $500 each for the fronts + taxes. You do the math.

And don't tell me I got raped and someone here could have gotten me a better deal. Where were you 3 years ago?

Besides, they were the only shop that I could find that would order them for me from Japan because no one else carried them back then. Now maybe they are more popular and therefore cheaper and more readily available, I don't know.

It's too bad I didn't no Harry (Big_h) back then, maybe he could have gotten me a better deal.

you got raped! j/k bro...but FWIW a set of the same wheels with tires, mounted, balanced, etc. delivered to your door, I can get them for approx $5500 CDN today. Three years ago the same set would have been approx $7400 CDN factoring in the stronger US dollar back then. Did you buy them from a Canadian vendor?

I call BS . You don't even know what size rims I have do you, or the brand of tires that I bought, so how can you quote a price to match it.

It's no BS bro. That's the price for 20's. Even this vendor that's known for high prices sell them for less with the Pirelli or S03 tires.

BTW, the price I posted was what I paid for my 20" RT5 with Toyo T1R tires back in the winter after duties, taxes, shipping, etc. It's just an FYI and not to make you feel bad or anything.

What I meant was that they are different prices depending on the width of the rim and tire. A 245/45/20 is not the same price as a 285/30/20.

If I price out my tires and with my wheel sizes it comes to around $7,000 US. and with the exchange rate of 3 yrs ago works out to $8120 CDN and that is with the cheaper "Diamond" option. Mine isn't even listed because it was called "Brushed" or "Polished" if I remember correctly

So like I said, maybe the prices have also dropped since three years ago because of the exposure and advertising.

Anyway, what has all of this got to do with my comment about insurance companies only covering friggen $1500 of aftermarket upgrades?

LOL, we're too civilized for that, Shane. If you want to have some fun and watch stupidity, grab that popcorn and go to Politics forum.
