Zenrin and Infiniti/Nissan are offering a free navi update to the canadian owners of 2003-2005 Infiniti/Nissan products, in their warranty period.

That's right, LondonG, and thanks for the reminder for all to know. There are more and more people opting for Navi these days and will be glad to know that the first upgrade/update is free.....

I've gotten updates for all my Infinitis. When it's been convenient to me, I've delayed getting an update soon after car purchase since the car will probably have an up to date version of software.......
I have found that Zenrin takes as much as years for changes to show on the new versions....os there's no real urgency to getting one at least in the first couple years of ownership.
But that's up to the owner. Zenrin/INfiniri will send the offer thru as soon as an owner qualifies and you choose when you'd like to receive one.
My advice would be to wait until the final year of your warranty period. but that's up to the owner.

Troy, Go into the Zenrin link and before going into the order link, look in the " Disc finder" link and you'll see that the G-updates are availble from '03 to '05 rides (so far).
There may be another version soon, you'd have to contact Zenrin, but it doesn't list it yet.
I think you'll find that you have the latest version since they don't come out every year.

I tried this two months ago and it said that "Nissan Canada" on Orbital Dr. has already requested an upgrade CD.

Sucks that you are only entitled to one free upgrade and there's since been like 4 revisions.

Anyone with a version 6.5 tried copying the DVD? Anyone try the newer version 7.5 on a '03 G35?

I'm really not too satisfied with the G35's navigation. It's not bad but so behind when compared to other factory NAV systems. I had more bells and whistles in my old car with a GPS Carputer/LCD. Oh well, I wanted something intergrated and factory'ish.
