folks from canada, do you guys have any idea how much it cost to ship a bumper from LA to BC? I'm trying to work out a deal with a member in the forum ship a kenstyle rear bumper to me in BC?

I hear ya........I've just taken delivery of a CAI for my M from UPS -- came from Cali and was valued at $187 USD (undervalued purposely) and weighed 10lbs. Shipping was in the neighbourhood of $50 CAD (paid at source) and another $67.66 for brokerage and GST's....
The box came and it's was larger than I anticipated: approx. 37" x 13" x 9" .

What you can do is call the carrier for an estimate of their shipping charges and brokerages and GST taxes (on brokerage and item shipped).
You'll have to estimate the size of the box and weight for them.

BTW, I specificly asked for USPS shipping but we found that their charges in this case were much higher......so UPS was used.

Something like a bumper is usually too big for UPS, et al.
You will most likely have to go truck freight.
That's the way my Nismo came from Cali tp GTA.
Cost was included in the price, but I figure about $150, plus the usual +++
