Good Wheel Shops?!? (GTA/Surrounding Area)

So after getting my winter wheels, I can't stop thinking about getting some nice summer ones too!!! Problem is, I have no idea where to start. I'd like to find a few shops in the GTA and surrounding area where they might have a selection of mid to high-end wheels so that I can start trying to figure out what I want, and more importantly, what I can afford.

The reason I'm asking for help here is because I've seen many wheel/tire shops (primarily on Dundas, Queensway, etc.) but frankly, they look quite run down and shady. I'm not saying they are, I'd just prefer to go somewhere with a little more professionalism and class.

Also, I already have some sort of an idea of what I am looking for off of various company websites and this website, but I would prefer to see the products up close as well as ask various questions...I love asking questions Plus, I hate buying off the internet.

Any ideas? Bought wheels and had a good experience? Anything I should know before setting out on this (expensive) venture? Thanks fellas and happy holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Troy
(I'm now off to learn what offsets are )

try tires23.com I never bought from them but they are quick to reply to emails, gave me some digestable quotes on Work wheels and carry all desirable brands-Work, Rays, SSR and Volk

www.Wheels-Direct.com

I delt with them a while ago with my previous car. They have a large showroom to visit.

Sorry, I can't say what they are like as of late... their website hasn't been updated for some time now

I asked for a quote from www.tires23.com as well. They were prompt with a reply and the quote was less than I expected.

Well, I'm not quite sure yet, but I am going for a look similar to the pictures I have attached below. The main problem I have at the moment is trying to figure out which brand names are good, and which are not. I'm new to all this stuff, so I'm not going to rush into something I might regret. I also picked up a copy of this month's duPont Registry magazine just to see what the cream of the crop is like, but I don't think I can justify spending that much money on wheels (not to mention tires too) . Therefore, I'll be looking for something in a more modest price range.

What I do know so far, is that I want a black wheel that is 20". The other thing that has got me thinking is, if I decide to get 20" wheels, would it look odd if I do not lower the car? I've noticed that getting aftermarket wheels and lowering seem to go hand in hand with most people...Unfortunately, I cannot afford both for a while.

Any ideas?? ...I'm open to suggestions/advice!

Hi Troy,

Have a look at revolutionwheelandtire.ca - Paul, the owner, is a friend of mine - and that's where I picked up my wheels/tires and had my H&R springs installed with a 1" drop. He does lots of high end work, as well as regular stuff, and can get you whatever you want.

Happy Holidays,

Mike
(we met at the summer meet and shine - so you saw my DG with 20's there and T1R's)

I think you might get away without lowering if your going with 20's but most people have lowered their cars.
Maybe lowering your car first then getting rims at a latter date. Thats how I am going about it with my sedan.
I'll most likely getting rims and rubber in the new year.

Search is your friend. There might be a deal for springs in the marketplace section. Check it out...
