Rant: Is it just me or do you get seriously owned at the gas station?

You probably came in here thinking I would be ranting about the milleage and gas prices, thats not it....... it's worse then that......

It's the side our gas door is on, the passenger side!!
It used to be ok with US cars being on that side to but now they have converted over to the *** side......

It's crazy tough getting a spot when gas gets cheap and you gotta lineup, you gotta either back in or steal a spot extra quick and hope to not get cursed out.....

Anyway yes not a huge problem, but it's a huge dread whenever I go out on cheap gas day (Wednesday and Sunday night)

I get owned occasionally when I forget which side and pull into the wrong spot.

Otherwise, it's great! There's less of a lineup for the passenger side pumps.

.....I hear ya, bro....I've got 2 Japanese cars and the fills are on opposite sides..... ---- it's frustrating to discover I'm on the wrong side.

I wish automakers would pick one side or other (preferably the D/side) and stick with it.....

Gas mileage/price is definitely a close second on my biotch list, tho.....

I've made the mistake a couple of times pulling in on the wrong side.

I'm driving a couple of other vehicles more often so its habit and I just forget driving the G. All other Japanese vehicles I've owned were drivers side fills. It's much easier on the left for sure. Wish that would be changed.

If necessary, I'd even give up the electronic opening on the p/side in favour of a manual/cable release on the d/side. My Acura (and previous Honda and Toyota) is like this and works well for me.

INFINITI! ARE YOU LISTENING?-- you changed the steering wheel side for north america, now change the gas fill.

I remember when the fuel flaps were at the back. Sometimes hidden under tail lights ( 58 Caddy I think ) and I know there were others. Oh yeah, behind the rear plate. I keep on forgetting which side the tank is on when I fill up my wife's van.

Fully agree with you ISO. Also, that gives me a reason to inspect the passenger side of the car for any damage. During winter I don't get to hand wash much and must rely on touchless washes.

My new car's cap is on the passenger side too. Actually, come to think of it I've never owned a car that didn't have it on the passenger side!

It's a huge on the cheap gas days when u're battling for the spot, all lines are for drivers side, so either you take the intiative and most likely a yelling and create your own line or hope that the hose extends accross.....

other then that, the G is awesome

just look at the fuel gauge, it'll have an arrow pointing to the side of the car that the fuel door is on. I have 4 cars I drive, and regularly forget what side the damn things on...

LOL, no offense taken, but let me explain:

....and cheap, I don't know about that, but our gas price right now is about $0.90 per liter which works out to about $3.40 CND per US size gallon, which in turn works out to about $3.00USD per US size gallon!...
So you can see why we shop around a little bit for a price break.

There is no cheap gas night; he was just talking about the days when it gets comparably cheaper than other days.

As for who is more cheap, you live in Bradenton - those grey hairs aren't exactly known for being big tippers.
