Know your Blue? Lakeshore Slate/Athens Blue/Caribbean Blue

Well seeing that IP is so hard to come around these days, I am opening other color options.

Canadian name colors.

OK, all those who knows their blues

Need some help in determining the colors here. They are advertised as just "blue".

I searched the forum high and low and cardomain and I think I got them right.

Pic 1 - 2003 Side Blue 3.JPG - Caribbean Blue?
Pic 2 - 2005 Front Blue1.JPG - Athens Blue?
Pic 3 - 2005 Rear Blue1.JPG - Athens Blue?
Pic 4 - 2005 Front Blue2.JPG - Lakeshore Slate? Athens Blue?
Pic 5 - 2005 Rear Blue2.JPG - Lakeshore Slate? Athens Blue?

Is it just me or does Athens Blue look so much different from each other when dirty, or when wet, or when clean? and that is why I am thinking that ****Blue1 and ****Blue2 maybe be both Athens Blue but looks different cause ****Blue1 is wet and dirty (sounds rude) .

If that 2003 is Caribbean Blue, then it looks close to Leguna Seca M3, well to me at least.

Thanks for the help guys.

All the others are Athens? So I am correct in saying that cause blue1 is wet, that is why blue2 pics looks different?

And Yes, I know CB is not like LSB. It is just that I don't have $80,000 CAN to spend on an M3, so i was fooling myself to believing that it was close to that color

Thanks for the feedback

Athens Blue and Lakeshore Slate are very easy to tell apart in pics or in person; Athens is a much deeper, darker blue, whereas Lakeshore is almost a blue-hued silver. The difference between Carib Blue and Athens blue is less obvious in pictures, until you see them in person. Carib Blue has more of a teal hue and a *ton* more metallic flake in it.

I am not too sure myself. TB looks really good in the sunlight. Has a nice metallic rich blue shine to it. But it can sometimes look navy blue to me. I like AB more.

but the TB's in these Threads are HOT
So yes, i still agree that TB is a very sexy color

Ummmmm
I think I am even more in love with AB now... :|

They seem to be easier to find than the IP to.

I really want IP but AB is not a bad choice...growing on me more and more each day.

Not sure about '03 but Carib blue is not available in Canada for the '04 you were looking for. It's called Capri blue which is probably the same thing.

Edit: Caribbean Blue is a US colour. It's Capri blue for both '03 & '04.
