Wow that is sweet. Best of luck and congratulations Blazz.

Can I ask anyone here what something like that cost to get married on an island? I've been trying to pitch that to the girlfriend because I don't want a big wedding and it would be sooo much better. If anyone has any insight can you please let me know?

thanks

When I got married in Mexico back in 05, the total cost of the wedding ceremony, penthouse suite directly on the beach, and the all-inclusive resort was $5100. We got married officially in Canada via Justice of the Peace. We did this a couple of days before we left for Mexico. Why did we do this? If you get married in Mexico, Dominican Republic, etc.., the only way to make it legal in Canada is to get your lawyer to translate all the documentation when you get home.......and this will cost you between $1000-$1500. We paid $60 to have the justice of the peace to marry us to make it legal here. We still consider our wedding ceremony in Mexico our "official" wedding date though. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM.
