Import Help

I am going to be importing a G35 from the U.S into Canada.
The car is going to cost me $31,500 U.S, what I need to know is what documentation do I need and what are my duty fee's.
Another question is about the warrenty on the car, is it still valid in Canada?

If anybody has done this can you help me out, never done it before.
I was also thinking about transporting the car, does anybody know where I can get a great rate on it.

Thanks
Rich

Is this brand new or used?

Did you check about warranty being transferred to Canada. I thought Nissan/Infiniti doesn't allow you to do this.

I used searail to transport my S2K. They did pretty good. The only thing was, the bottom of my front bumper was scrached a bit. But that's because it was lowered. their ramps to go on the rail is VERY STEEP. I suggest you drive it up to Canada yourself. Saves a lot of money.

Just curious, when i drive the car back from the states to Canada I won't have any plates on the car. Does the 10day permit that i need to purchase cover that?

I used old plates that I had at home in Alberta you have xx days to transfer plates when you buy a new vehicle. You will have to check with registries about your province I also had insurance on the car prior to driving it home. We got stopped by the hiway patrol going way faster than we should have been going . With insurace and the bill of sale with the old plates we had no hassels. Searail I have heard some horror stories about them damaging vehicles and putting the onus on you to try and prove it was them that did the damage. I drove mine from southern Georgia it was nice to see the US I took a guy from a local car club to share the driving I dont reccomend it I was ready to kill the guy and I couldnt sleep while he was driving(scared he was going to write off my car). Good luck.
