Hey guys... It's nice to be back - NOT-

Well I truely appreciate you guys saving some snow & winter weather

We had a great time in the Mayan Riviera and would highly recommend the area to anyone.

We stayed at the Bahia Principe - Coba and were duely impressed.
The services, food, lodging, beach & ammenities were all first class.
The weather wasn't hard to take either.

It was great to tag along with Wayne & Karen.....
they're great company and know the area well from last year.

The Mayan ruins are very impressive and definitely a highlight....
We saw the ruins at Chichen Itza & Tulum.
The Tulum ruins back right onto the Caribbean and the beach there is one of the best anywhere in the world!!!
We also spent a day at Xel-Ha....
It's a commercialized "eco-center" and was great for neophyte snorkellers to explore.
Lots of spectacular fish to see.. from Barracudas to Stingrays.

The worst part of the whole trip was saying goodbye to Wayne & Karen...
They're still there for another week.

The Pix Slideshow.... (8 sec between pix)

Great pics Ian. I've been to the Caribbean side of Mexico twice, and have always enjoyed the weather, food, and the trips to the ruins. Your resort looked like it was one of the high-end ones. 5 star I take it?

I heard they don't allow people to climb the pyramids any more. Glad I did it a couple years ago.

Welcome back Ian. Awesome pictures, thanks for sharing them. No doubt you didn't miss any of the Canadian weather while you were down there. The BP looks like a fantastic resort. I've been to the Mayan Riviera a few times and I wouldn't hesitate going back whatsoever. Did you happen to go swimming with the dolphins at Xel-Ha? That was one of my highlights when I was there in 05. Btw, Wayne & Karen are still there for another week, correct?

Hey nice pics Ian. I actually made it throgh them all. Good to hear you had a great trip. I imagine it was hard to pry yourself away from there especially with Wayne and Karen staying. I hope to see some of the area myself in a few weeks during our cruise day trips.

Hey Ian,

Welcome back to the cold!!!

Get pics. I'm sure that you didn't want to return so early. The weather and the beaches look awesome.

Glad you had a great time with Wayne and Karen.

Cheers,

B.
