Here's a very interesting article that highlights how Toyota, for example, is having problems:

I just got off the phone with some sales managers, man you guys are right; the domestics are really pushing themselves *hard*. I think I am going to check some of them out. I *think* I might go with a truck and get a cover, why? Well if I want to get a water tank a truck is pretty much a must. I'd prefer an SUV, but I am not sure how the tank would work since it'd take up pretty much the entire access area.

Here is my short list right now:

Nissan Frontier (Titan is a bit big for me I think), especially in the city.
Honda Ridgeline
Dodge Dakota & Ram 1500 (ram might be too big)
Ford Ranger & F150
GMC Sierra
Chevy Silverado
Toyota Tacoma

I will probably lease it because I can write the entire lease amount off; that makes the domestics even more attractive because, frankly, their lease rates right now are really, really good.

Oh akrus - I detailed one of those SRT-8's, haha; that thing is *HUGE*, and it's almost useless as a truck to boot. No 4wd, no awd, it could barely get traction down haha. Was pretty funny actually.

Yeah, but it would be fun to smoke the tires to shreds...

All I can say Kevin is

HUMMER like nothing else!

I've had this H3 for a few months now and I'm lovin' it.

Good luck with the new truck whatever you get.

My first choice out of the ones you listed. taking into lease prices into consideration, would be the F-150. That's definitely my favorite domestic made truck. I really like the versitlity of the Ridgeline, but lease prices would be much higher than the F-150, Ram, or Sierra.

Lease rates on F150's are excellent right now. I think they are offering (in the US) 0 down 0 drive off $299/month 36 months 12k miles a year I believe. My bro has the F-150 for our flooring store and its been treating us great.

Titan. I have one and love it. 120,000kms (hard kms mostly gravel roads) and the only thing I have done is schedualed maintanence. I just looked into getting a new one its only $3000 more than a comparable Chevy. After you get it you will get used to the size you will wonder how you ever lived with out it. The gas milage is the only thing that may make you want to consider a Frontier.

Dodge has $2500 cash off and 2.8% lease rate on 2007 Dakota's and $2250 off and .90% lease rate on Ram right now here in the GTA.
