In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out how to properly tighten the "LATCH" system in our vehicles to ensure that the base for our car seat is as secure as it can be. In Calgary, the fire dept/EMS/Calgary Health Region no longer conduct car seat inspections/clinics so I'm relying on advice from my buddies who have kids or are about to have kids and are going through the same thing.

I think I figured the LATCH system out, everything seems pretty snug and tight. AFAIK, they check your setup at the hospital before they allow the baby to leave in the car.
It looks like my wife's due date is going to come and go without anything happening. We head to the hospital tomorrow morning for an 8:30 appointment. I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Just an update. Anissa & I just got back from the hospital. The doctor ruptured a membrane on her cervix, soooooooooo all we have to do now is wait.
Both of us (especially her) is getting to the point where we just want it to happen already!
