Exclamation Don't go near the CN Tower

Huge sheets of ice have been falling off..... cars destroyed

It was an interesting drive in to work this morning. They closed the Gardiner both ways around the CN Tower during the morning rush because chunks were falling onto it. Going eastbound, had to get off at Spadina. Went up north to King then east on King and - guess what - King was closed at York. So, more detours. Took about an hour longer to get into work. This, after taking 2 1/2 hours (normally 25 minutes) to get home on Thursday. GRRRRR. Hate winter.

I may have a memory retention issue ( )....
but I don't remember hearing about this in previous years.

They need to install some kind of heating cords on that tower so this does not happen again.

It's hard to believe, but the Tower will be 31 years old in June
- I somehow doubt they'll be installing much at this point...
although, it could be deemed negligent if they don't!

Yikes!! Do you think my G is safe in Calgary, or should I park it in Vancouver for a few days?

I was reading today that they do have heaters to help prevent this. Must be too much ice this time.

I just read somewhere that Toronto is had its coldest Feb in 28 years!

You guys stay warm up there and watch out for those falling icebergs.

Yeah.. we went down to the ACC for a concert last night....
First time in *years* that we've been on the red rocket.
Parked at Yorkdale & TTC'd it no problem.....
but man was it cold getting into the car afterwards.

Who did you see, was Josh Groban performing last night. If so looks like you could be buttering P up for some more mods .
How did you guys like it, he does have a great voice.

It was a great show... managed to get floor seating as well.
