border crossing?

My daughter wants to go to the Walden Mall in Buffalo over the March break. I checked our passports and they have just expired. Can anyone tell me what alternative ID will work for us? Don't want any grief at the border, would rather not go.

Sam a birth certificate and photo id will do if you don't have a passport when driving.

^+1. Passports are only required as of Jan. 23 for air travel. The date for all entry is still being negotiated.

Yes, a citizenship card and photo ID will be sufficient as well.

Nooo, can't think of anything I need. Can you. Thought about tires, but mine still have lots of meat on them.

One could find them at Walmart, Circuit City etc. They are pretty much available at any electronics store down there, see below links:
