Did anyone get the brake letter yet? I mentioned I called Infiniti and said that they are sending it on November 19th but I haven't received it yet. Did anyone get it yet?

 

I'm still waiting too bro. Mail is slow(er) this time of year.

I received my letter today along with a letter attached for someone else that happends to live in my neighbourhood. I inspected my own brakes when I switched over to my winter tires. They still had lots of wear on them. I was supprised at how much was still on the pad.
I'll hand deliver the letter to her house tomorrow.

Hey. What about people like us with the 6MT and Brembo's? I guess that it is OK to have premature wear because we have the 6MT.

 

Hi people, I just received the letter one week ago. Honestly NISSAN/INFINITI is one of the least professional car manufacturers out there. Ridiculous, if they had sent out the letter in November we would and should have received it a few weeks ago at the least.

 

There is so much crap written in this letter! They make it seem like they are someone they are not. All I like is the actual car itself, but when it comes to dealing with this organization, NISSAN that is etc. there contains a lot of flaws within its operations. I make a complaint to Nissan about an Infiniti Dealership, what do they do, they go and gossip with the dealership about my comments etc. I was disgusted when I found out. I shall take some action soon. I do not appreciate this at all, its all supposed to be confidential, just like how the CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SURVEY LETTERS go etc..who knows what they do with them.

 

Hey, well its not because you have 6MT,its because the BRAKE/ROTOR kits in MANUAL trans models contain a different product such as BREMBO rotors/drums etc.

Well, obviously, and I guess they were replaced due to this most recent RECALL CAMPAIGN re:Brake Pads/Rotors etc.

 

Still haven't received my letter, but you don't really need it.

I spoke to my dealership's service dept., and they indicated if the brakes are down to 3mm or ~10%, they will perform the brake maintenance (for free).

Can anyone else confirm these stats? 10% seems a bit low to me.
