Newbie - Suggested Mods to my new 2003 G35 Sedan

I'd like to say I'm a newbie, but I'm kinda a "returnbie".

I had a 2003 M6 Coupe then sold it. MISSED the whole G experience, so nearly 14 months later, I'm back . This time I needed the four doors and couldn't handle the clutch anymore (too much 401 bumper to bumper traffic, not to mention the whole steering with my knees thing (those that drive standard KNOW what I'm talking about! ) nearly got me killed a few times), so that's why I chose the automatic sedan.

My new 2003.5 G35 has the performance package, but otherwise it is all stock. I am thinking of tinting the windows (35% tint) before the spring. Not sure what other mods to do.

Any suggestions??? Nothing too crazy but some suggestions to make the car look a bit more sporty would be helpful. I have attached some photos of her.

Thanks!

It's GREAT to be back!!!!

not sure but doesn't the performance package come with different wheels? and sports suspension?...i could be wrong though..

but you can always start off with the nismo kit...but if your not wanting to spend that much...atleast get the lowers of the car painted to match...( i did and it made a big difference)..

if you want a lil sportiness...you could try and add the stock spoiler...

..for tint id suggest 20 percent all around...its dark on the outside...but easily can be seen thru day and night...

...also you could get some overlays...

Get wheels they make the car. Cold air intake, Plenum spacer and catback exhaust to give a little more performance.

Why a 2003? when you could go with at least a 2005 or maybe the new sedan?

'03.5 is good.... picked up a few changes at that point.
With reasonable milage, it would be great bang for the buck.

The 03's have REALLY come down in price. My G had 68,000 KM's on it and was $21K. Also, since it only hit the road in Sept 03, it's still under full warranty for a few more months.

A whole wack of these G35's are coming off lease so the prices have been falling a lot. I really believe these older G's are a STEAL! considering the specs and quality of car you're getting at that price. If you're okay with higher mileage (over 100K) you can even pick one up for $16K.

Get a Z-tube, plenum spacer, coupe mid-pipe, HKS rear section; that's what alot of people start with.

They might then evolve to CAI and full Catback. But IMHO, if I were to choose again, I would have started with more basic mods and evolve from there... instead of jump right into the Stillen Catback which I thought was too loud

Sorry to ask this but: can you dumb this down for me a bit more. I don't know what any of these things are and/or their purpose. I suspect there might be others like me, so if you can just spell it out a bit more I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm newer at all this than I had thought.

Z-tube: Intake tube from a 350Z, smoother air flow into the throttle body

Plenum Spacer: Raises the height of the intake plenum for better air flow into the motor, resulting in more hp..the best bang for the $$$

Coupe mid-pipe: Comes of a G35 coupe exhaust. The sedan exhaust is very heavy and somewhat restrictve in exhaust flow. The coupe mid pipe will eliminate the weight and increase the flow of exhaust gasses somewhat.

HKS rear section: The back portion of your exhaust including the muffler and resinator(s). Just a better system for more hp and sound.

Please charm in anyone if I made any mistakes in my descriptions
