Red face Buying a car is so hard...any advice?

Hey guys, so iam looking for a car within the next two months or even earlier if the right deal comes along and I am having a lot of trouble finding a wide selection of cars. I spend like at least 2-3 hours a day just on autotrader.ca hoping they refresh the car lists but they don't, soo lazy. Anyways, I was hoping if you guys had any suggestions on what else I could do? I'm looking for an IP, 6MT coupe...year doesn't really matter, the newer the better, but also depends on the deal i get...anyways, any help would be great. Cheers,

-BT

yeah it IS a hard combo, every car on autotrader is friggin DG or Silver...like honestlyyyyyyyy so boring!! I've considered importing, just I am looking for somewhere in NY state, i would plan on flying down and driving up...(this seems like the most cost effective plan) importing by freight transport would be kind of pricey.. Also, I've done a lot of research on importing procedures, but it would be really nice if someone had the experience of importing a car, so I could discuss in detail...anyways, thanks for your inputs guys.

Here is something that may help with importing if you go that route.

call me i got it in stock. i had a customer do that but restrictions into canada you have to do your hoemwork on. i know you will need a notarized letter stating the vehicle has no recalls and meets emissions and canadaian safety requirements

it will take time to find the right car. its took me almost 6 month for me to find the car that i wanted, because i wanted black interior and 6spd. sometime searching for car is fun. you can also try autoextra.com, automart.com and some time i try ebay. good luck to you and keep searching.

Also, u can try
http://leasebusters.com/
buysell.com
driving.ca

tip for autotrader.ca - search out of Ontario as well. That is, out of province (like Vacouver, Alberta, etc)

I used these techniques before I got my coupe. Be prepared to wait.

I am talking to guy who's selling his US car in toronto....it's an 04, DG, 6MT, had a slight accident but he fixed it up....14000miles on it, asking $29K, I think that's kinda pricey granted the accident so i'll try to negotiate...i still really want an IP tho'...i heard/feel that DG's are gonna boring/plain still tho its still a G

That's cheap with low mileage. I wouldn't sell mine for anywhere near that. A very minor accident should reflect very little discount if any.
