Dodged a bullet today
I went to fill up today ($1.135/L but that's another thread) and as I was pulling away from the gas island I noticed an older Accord reversing into my path. I stopped and laid on the horn and she just kept coming, slowly, but inexorably, toward my left front fender.
A quick check in the rear-view showed another car right behind me, so there was no escape. Just like a slow-motion train wreck, more horn then bump! $hit!
I got out to inspect the damage and there was none. Fortunately, I had my wheel turned enough she just hit the tire, no impact to the fender. Had I accelerated, I would now have a crease all the way down the driver's side of my 3 month-old car. The contact was so slow I'm not concerned about any possible suspension damage either.
The dimwit female opened her door and the area was flooded with loud (c)rap music.
Lucky? Perhaps I should purchase a 6/49...

before i saw your location i assumed you must be from richmond bc with a story like that. similar incidents are continuous out there. people park and drive-by-feel. bumper cars with bmw's, mercedes', audi's. none of which ever get driven to their potential either, what a waste...
