rubber smell

Has anyone experienced the smell of burning rubbrer or hot rubber after turning the car off?
The smell seem to come from the front end.

Re: rubber smell

If the car is new, the smell would be materials burning off the exhausts or parts of the engine. Have you just had an oil change lately, or had rust protection applied? These too can get on the hot pipes and smoke. Any leaks?
If the smell doesn't go away within a few days of driving let the dealer have a look. Good luck

Re: rubber smell

My car is getting the same "rubber smell" from the front end.
I noticed that if I have been driving hard or for a longish trip, the smell is present.
Is it possible that it could be comming from the brakes???
I have arount 6600km's on the beast.
