If the car is new, the smell would be materials burning off the exhausts or parts of the engine. Have you just had an oil change lately, or had rust protection applied? These too can get on the hot pipes and smoke. Any leaks?[img]/w3timages/icons/frown.gif[/img]

My car is getting the same "rubber smell" from the front end.
I noticed that if I have been driving hard or for a longish trip, the smell is present.
Is it possible that it could be comming from the brakes???
I have arount 6600km's on the beast.
