Yes, that's possible. I also have an airline ticket that has to be used by mid July.

LOL, bro, you better stick to one of these organized events (check the links in previous posts) --

In an Ariel Atom on the street joyriding, you're just as likely to get arrested and slung in jail... .lol
I doubt they'd rented out for street use anyway....but you never know.

but check the links for the schedule and with Ca$hio

about the scheduled events down there too... there may be one coming close to you too......

Colin

Edit:
I see from their schedule that they'll be in Buttonwillow CA - Dec. 5,6, & 7th.
......but there are many other locations ...........

haha, true...I wasn't planning to race around the streets. Just some that has the feel of a bike but 4 wheels instead. Wind in my hair being one with the road...

I'll look into one of those track days...Oh, thanks...Button willow is not that far from me...Hmmm...

LOL, I think anyone would get in trouble driving one of those on the streets.
Strictly a track car.....as you say.....
Would be a great experience to get out in one at a track, tho.......-- From what I've seen and heard they're pretty close to the ultimate in handling and accelleration.....

Thanks, it might. I passed on the school here in June and have lots on the go in the next 4 weeks but we'll keep you posted.

I made inquiry for more info;
Here is the reply.

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your interest in the Ariel Atom Experience. I left a voice mail message with you and thought I would follow up with an email.

Our half-day events are designed to handle a maximum of 24 clients in one session; however, we can accommodate smaller groups if necessary. Please let me know how many members may potentially be in your group so I can better plan to accommodate you. FYI…if you had a group of 15 people minimum I would be able to run a private session for you.

What is included in the Half-day format:

- Breakfast or Lunch depending on Session chosen
- Use of our fleet of brand new Ariel Atoms
- Pro-Racing style hospitality area
- Professional Driving Instruction
- Classroom session on high performance driving
- Use of our driving equipment(Driving suit, Gloves, and helmet)
- well planned on track sessions

Overview of Half-day format:

- Arrive - registration and outfitted into racing gear
- Brief introduction and safety presentation
- Gourmet lunch
- Split into groups for on-track sessions (dependant on number participants. we have 8 cars available for use....so 24 people would be split into 3 groups of 8)
- Alternating On-track sessions. Gradually increasing speed to a level that is comfortable for the driver
- Each participant will have 3 on-track sessions.(15-20 minutes per session)
- Groups rotate through classroom session once during the day.
- Wrap-up presentation/Thank-you's and change back to street clothes

Thanks again Ian. I look forward to working with you and potentially seeing you at the track. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions, or would like to move forward and book an event date.

Did you have a particular date in mind that you would like to run an event?

Regards,

Good going Ian. I'm glad you sent thru and made some inquiries.

I'm guessing that they cater to any level of expertise (which would suit me with no track experience), but there's been no mention of damage charges in the unlikely event that that would arise??????

Do we get, or do they have insurance to cover damages in the unlikely event of that happening? - I have to ask.....
Any light on the subject would be much appreciated.....

It does sound very interesting, and very attractive to me and I'm seriously considering this.

..........and I hope many others here are too. It would be great to have a group of our own familiar faces.

C.

^Ian, I will be in a position to respond on this June 15. I really want to participate. If it is a go I can make plans anytime after July 11. I hope that works for others.

That would be so neat if you could make it Deane......Of course that's awhile off yet and pending many things, but it's certainly something to think about.
There are 2 (actually 3 dates) after the 11th which would suit me fine.....

This sounds very exciteing and something to plan for and look forward to.

Fingers crossed,
Colin

Good point Colin...
I would imagine the risk is there's as far as the hardware goes;
& we would likely have to sign a personal injury waiver to them.

I'll be talking to him next week & will ask.

Deane - My schedule is similar to yours.

- Balzz? (since you don't have you car ready yet )
- & I was with someone (we all know) yesterday that needs just a little persuasion ???
