It's really not that hard. If I lived near by I would gladly help you out. Really alls you need is a wrench a 10mm socket and some needle nose pliars and it should take you know more than 1 1/2 hour to do it. Good luck though.

It's a lot easier than you think Roy....
The most important thing is NOT to over torque the bolts. (IIRC 10 in/lbs)

If you don't have access to an in/lb torque wrench..... Do NOT use a ratchet of any kind.
Use a socket on a straight driver handle (like a screw driver)
Then snug down in at LEAST 3 steps... tightening gently each time.

Hey Roy,

I have the in/lb torque we discussed a few months back you could borrow, lmk.

I did it myself but I was scared as well doing it!, it took me a long time b/c I was triple checking everything b4 putting everything back together.

Agreed.. First time, it took me like 2 hours lol, but after that, it is more like a 30 mins job with the right equipment

However, one more thing is, if you are talking about installing the upper plenum, the allen bolts that hold the Throttle body to the Upper plenum can be a pain to take off.

G-Man, I am off this week. If you like to come to Markham area (Major Mac and McCowan), I can help you install it. It only takes an hour or so. Let me know.

What he said. Most ft/lb rachets don't have the increments you need for the bolts. You can try the conversion method but you wouldn't be alllowed to go so low.

Mine cost me $70 at Sears i think. It's probably the only time I'll need one I think LOL. Oh well, at least now I have 1 more tool.

I actually bought the service manual. Just let me know if you get stuck on something.
