I had to come into the office today to get a few things done before I am off work for a couple of weeks. There is a cruise ship in today (the Carnival Victory) and this is the view that I have right from my office. It's one of the few reasons I like working in the office. There's a lot of days that I can't see anything due to fog, but today it's sunny and very warm.

Btw, these pictures were taken on my camera phone so they are not all that great.

 

good lord, Where is that place and that phone takes awesome pics..Very nice. My view is of a bunch of wrecked cars.

My phone is just a Razr. I didn't think the pictures were that great at all, but maybe it's because I've been used to the pictures my new Nikon has been taken the last couple of weeks. I was using full zoom on the last picture, which I think is 8x on this camera phone.

Deane, are you getting many cruise ships down your way this year? I've heard that a number of cruise ships are only stopping in SJ and that's it. IIRC, I think this our biggest year for cruise ships yet.

 

I checked both port web sites for the schedules. You have about 54 ship visits and we have about 92. Our norm is about 175 or so so about double what we have now. That can't be good for tourism.
