Buying a 2007 G35 sedan - help ! !

I'm going to buy a G35 sedan with touring and nav package. I don't need financing. I'm near Vancouver.

Invoice is $ 48,770 before taxes ( from Infiniti website )

Now I hope this doesn't sound too stupid but is this the best I can do from a dealer ? Or what sort of discount will a dealer usually give off the invoice price ?

I have an 02 Acura TLS. Better to trade it in or sell it myself ?

Thanks for your help.

I think you mean MSRP not invoice. The invoice price is probably about 4K less but aren't published on line by manufacturers.

You should be able to negotiate somewhere between 1-4% over invoice on a cash deal without trade if you shop. If BC is like NS if you sell privately doing a convenience deal at the dealer you'll the tax on the value of your TLS. If you trade you'll still save tax $$ but only on the wholesale price of your car, which is likely to be $3-5k less than you might get for it.

Sorry I meant MSRP. So if MSRP is eg. 48,000 how much less would the invoice price likely be ?
