Shane,
Whoa, may i ask the cost of living up there in Canada compared to California? I think I found a place where I want to move when I retire or want to get away from it all...Those are awesome pictures!!! Just the city and everything is so clean!!! I love it!!!

Hey guys..... back home safe & sound.
This has been one of the best road trips ever
It sure was great getting together again... & great to meet Brian, our honorary Canuck from Boston.
I've got tons of pics to go through yet but here's a few to add to Shane's collection.
We took a different route to the meeting point & traveled the N. shore of the Ottawa & St Lawrence.

I'll host a slide show when I get around to it, rather than bog this thread down too much.
Karen and I had a great time during the run. We travelled a total of 4,275 kms (2,656 miles) .
It's always fun getting together with Ian and Pat and our East coast friends. It was also such a pleasure having Brian (AthensblueG) join in, he is such a personable and likeable guy, so knowledgeble on the camera and a food connoisseur
. Brian I still can't figure how you got all those rolling camera shots while piloting through the Gaspe
. Also thanks Brian for introducing me to a few new food tastes, such as Cod Tongues
We took so many pictures and the ones I am posting here are only a few.
Karen and I went four days early. On our first day a transport threw up a rock and chipped our windshield (I will see if they can fix it tomorrow). We toured the Mt Carelton area in NB, but unfortunately we hit the worst road construction I have ever been on while driving. We got stuck driving on 5 kms of this evil road from He--
, before we knew it we were committed to driving it, we bottomed out our X a few times and put a couple scuffs on both front wheels.
We then had to drive 10 kms of logging roads to get into Mt Carleton Park, the car was already dirty so we went for it, we even ran some single lane bush roads, heck we have the X, so why not
.
Here are a few pics from the Mt Carleton, NB area:

This is what I should have had

We then travelled to the Acadian Coast and stayed 3 nights in Caraquet, NB, what a beautiful spot with breathtaking sunsets. We had a great room overlooking the sea.

We then travelled to Campellton NB where we met up with everyone. It was nice area which was just completing it's week long salmon festival.
We all decided that while travelling the Gaspe Coast we would stay at Perce the first night and wow what a neat place.
Here are a few pics at Perce on the Gaspe:

We then drove the Gaspe Coast to our next stops, one near Riviere-la-Madeleine (the hotel was very retro but nice, Deane jokingly likened it to the Bates Motel from the movie Psycho.
Here are a few pics from the coast runs:
Road construction in a few areas:

Lots of twisties and scenery:

We tried driving up to a remote lighthouse but the road just got too bad. Here is a pic of Deane and then Brian returning at the bottom:

We then travelled to Quebec City which was filled with lots of sights and Old World ambience.
