Call me stupid... I was trying to have some fun today after work... with a nice photoshoot.



This Ramp...
The Gear Head guys said that they tested the Ramp with M coupes and stuff... and they all cleared without a problem. So, I was like, let see how close would my car come to scraping my bottom



I guess it is a combination of long wheelbase + the longer front overhang because of the NISMO front bumper... I scraped slightly in the centre bottom part of the front bumper. I was like WTF .. how would I be so stupid to start my weekend like this ..

Try when your bumper is literally 3" off the ground and have Tanabe Underbrace. I can't clear even the lowest speed bumps, lol.

 

same thing happened to me on my way out of the dentists office. took some paint off the very bottom of the bumper that faces the ground... so f'n pissed about that driveway

 

Sigh..I would learn my lesson..
but thanks guys tho, It wasn't too bad, it just scrapped the clear bra and paint in two very localized area (in the size of half penny) in the centre bottom part...

Btw, I am seeing more and more modded 350Zs in TO lately...
I almost see a PPW with black hood and roof 350z everyday on DVP

 

But I am more stupid tho...

 

Don't feel too badly, Godmans......we all make mistakes and learn from them.....right?........Just pick up the peices (pun intended) and go on.

Now you know about the really tight clearance.....
If it were mine, I'd drop into the shop who installed the clear bra and have them patch up the 2 scraped areas just so they don't get any worse.

The damage to the clear bra seems to be at the very end... so I don't think (fingers crossed) that it will make the clear bra have dog ears or come off..

However, I do notice on the other hand that, at the side of the bumper where it is curved in, they didn't do such a good job in wrapping the clear bra in... I am not sure if I should do anything about that part lol.. it looks more like orange peel to me... or wrapped gift; if you know what I am trying to describe....

That is a particularly difficult spot to get it just right, and if it bothers you, take it back in and have the installer look at it.
For him, it's probably and easy and quick fix....
