TPMS question

So I'm getting the tires changed soon, anything I should know about the TPMS system before doing so? Can the tires be removed and replaced normally? Remove the valvestem?

Thanks!

- Ron

Just make sure the tire guy knows that you have the TPS so he will not snap them when he breaks the tire. Otherwise.

^exactly. The shop just needs to be careful demounting and mounting the tires.

A good tech can tell it has TPMS by looking at the hard valve stem protruding from the rim.

What tires are you getting and from where Ron?

Rbull - I picked up some used stock sized Potenza's on eBay with 7/32's tread left just to get me through the rest of the summer. Came to just under $400 cdn shipped to Calais. I'll go pick them up, get them installed in Calais and drive home!

Shane - Thanks buddy! I am excited, amazing car to drive, smooth, powerful and sounds awesome! Can't wait to see the car when you get done detailing it!

Thanks. That's right, I remember you saying that now. Yeah, it's a nice car to drive. Wait until you get mod fever.

Hey Shane, I'm sure you're doing a special job for Ron in all this heat.

Oh I've already got mod fever....I'm holding back and trust me it's going to be hard. I may start with that sweet Stillen front lip!

Then I want TEIN coilovers, will do a lot for the stance of the car.

**Stop it Ron, wife will kill you.**

LOL, if you're going coilovers you'll need new wheels and tires to improve the offset!

Also with coilovers...
Make sure you look for something suitable to ht CDN climate.

Early versions corroded easily.

Yeah, it's definitely been hot here eh Deane? I'm giving Ron a free detail since we're buds, but I'm requesting $250 worth of Alexander Keiths for doing it in the heat.

Yeah, we've hit 30 and 29 respectively the past two days along with high humidity. Next couple of days are forecast for 32 which usually means 33-34 plus humidity around here. Great driving and leisure weather.

That sounds like a great deal for both of you!

Got the tires today but couldn't get them mounted, the run flats, TPMS and 19's scared them!

When they change the tires do they need to be reverse installed? Taking/putting them on from the back side or the top side?
