WOW, where did summer go?
Hopefully we'll get a looooong Indian summer this fall

Hopefully it's still many months before we get any white stuff...
Looks like we'll be hunkered down this winter w/o any forays to the sunny south
The vacation budget has been (& is still) getting blown to bits this year
Yeah, I definitely hope it's well into December before we see any of that white crap. I am picking up my winter wheel and tire setup this weekend, so at least I'll be ready for it.

So no trips south this year huh? Anissa and I are going somewhere in the Caribbean with her Parents in either March or April. Winter is too long not to go somewhere warm.

The knee is doing better Sean, thanks for asking. I am going to physiotherapy three times a week now so they are getting me slowly back in shape. I can walk now at least, although it's still with a severe limp.......but at least I can get around easier. I really miss golf.

Btw, that's a beautiful looking course that you work and play at.

Glad to hear the knee's getting better. I was lucky (???) enough to have suffered my injury during the winter. Don't know how much of a basket case I'd be without golf (I play about 100-120 rounds a year - or so it's been for the past few years).

Have a look at my website for some pics of courses that I've played over the past two years.

www.akrus.ca (for 2007 - not much here as I've joined Whistle Bear this year and really haven't strayed much from there, or have gone to courses that I've played in the past)
www.akrus.ca/index2.html (for 2006 courses - only regret here is that I didn't take my camera when I played Magna - I won't make that mistake again when I go there this fall...)

I'm guessing that your injury has finished your season off? Or is there a chance that you'll be able to enjoy some fall golf (my favourite).

Wow, those are some fantastic pics! It looks like you've played lots of great courses. And at 100-120 rounds per season, you play a lot of golf. I used to play that much, but I typically only play Thursday night (Men's night) and Saturday mornings now. Yeah, unfortunately the injury has finished off my season. I am away for pretty much the entire month of October, so by the time I get back it'll be November and the course will be closed. It's gonna be long wait until next May.

Yep, it's a fantastic day here. I just got back from a quick trip to the US to pick up my winter wheels and tires and it was 28C at the border. It's not quite as warm here, but still very nice. I think it will be a great night to have a fire and a couple glasses of wine.

You're reading my mind! I don't have the spot for a fire though. I mentioned to H last night that tonight might be the last shorts and T evening to sit around and have a few pops.

Yeah, it's 27 here now but with 66% humidity it feels like 35. Gorgeous.

BTW, I hope everything is good with the tires/wheels. I've got a small mod coming on mine.

Well if you and H want come join us for a fire, you're always welcome!

The wheels and tires look great, definitely worth $500 USD. I just got done yesterday with a minor mod myself. So what do you have coming Deane?

We will be sitting by a fire also at our Club property, but it will be with the rest of my Fishing Club Buddies after we devour the pig that we will be barbequing, yum, always a good time.

LOL, if it wasn't so far we'd be there in a flash.

Good to hear on the new wheels. I like your overlays. Nice touch.

My mod is a secret. It's nothing major but fixing something I've wanted to for a while.
