I dropped the G at the Dealership

I have to admit im a bit nervous (considering this is the first time im having work done at a dealership). I dropped it at Alta Infiniti on Martin Grove and Hwy 7 for some warranty work.

The issues were:

- Knocking coming from the front strut area
- The infamous CD player only playing music from one side of the car
- Driver side Sunvisor is broken and the arm wont stay in the socket
- Possible leaking steering rack (I wiped some oil away from the rack when I had it up on a friends hoist.

It's all fine and dandy, BUT I dropped it off with it lowered on Tein's and 20'' rims.

I know, I know I should have removed it, but my warranty is expiring next week, and I couldn't have gotten it done in time.

What's the worst that's going to happen... they'll just void my warranty? Or do you think we'll be able to work something out?
Anyone have experience with Alta Infiniti?

Thanks in advance.

As long as you are not claiming things on your suspension, where they can blame your lowering springs, you would be fine.

Unfortunately, I am claiming something. It's a knocking sound that seems to be eminating from the driver side shock/strut. Even if we can work something out like - I pay for the labour, they pay for the part, I wouldn't mind.

Nothing like that.

So I picked it up from the dealership and they told me they changed the following parts:

-driver side rocker cover gasket (leaking a small amount of oil)
-driver side compression rod (the cause of the knocking sound)
-both sway bar end links (in the process of figuring out where the knocking was coming from)

Parts on order to have changed:

- sun visor (the arm wont stay in the hole)
- Bose premium head unit - because of the speakers not playing properly.

All of this covered under warranty completely. I just picked up the keys and drove off.

The car drives much better, and I couldnt be happier.

Big thanks to Alta Infiniti - no BS, no hassle and on time.
