Thanks everyone........
Hey Shane how goes with you guys?

I'm sure our weather was a little cooler than what you've been getting,
but it was perfect for getting around Paris.
Only had one day that was cool & cloudy, most days were 16 - 18°C & sunny.

Everything is fantastic here Ian. The weather has been warm and sunny every single day since we've got here over 2 weeks ago. Temps have ranged anywhere from 25C to 35C during the day and about 18C to 21C at night. We couldn't has asked for better weather.

I posted some pics here if you want to check them out.

I loved your pics of Paris. Anissa and I are considering going there next year. I'll have to chat with you more when I get back and here all about your trip.

Ian, I forgot you had the Canon G7.
My daughter and family just left to go back to England and and I was impressed by her picture quality from her Canon. So I retired my Sony Cybershot V1 today and bought a Canon Powershot G9.
I'll have to get together with you for some pointers.

Excellent Wayne....
I couldn't be happier with mine.
It's not an SLR but it's no pocket cam either.

The review that sold me on the G7 was done by a pro magazine pho-tog,
After reviewing the camera, upon having to return it... he went out & bought one.

Your pics have always been great. I have been reading all the reviews and I also checked out some DSLRs but they were just to big and cumbersome for me (or should I say Karen ) to carry around while travelling.
Today we had it narrowed down to the Sony Cybershot H9 and the Canon G9. The Canon won out. We just got home from shopping a few hours ago and the battery is in the supplied charger now .

Oh... just remembered...
I have a source for some hi-cap batteries at a great price.

You might be surprised how few pics you get from the OE battery on the initial charge.
It gets much better on subsequent recharges.

Thanks Ian, We'll have to get together on this. I have two batteries now and picked up one 2.0 GB Extreme 3 Sandisk SD card so far.
