Rip G35

Got rear-ended tonight at Yonge and Sheppard. Traffic in front came to an abrupt stop, I slammed my brakes and stopped in time but the driver behind didn't even have time to react. Saw the car approaching in my rear view and knew I was gonna get creamed so I just relaxed, took my foot off the brake pedal and waited. Didn't even hear the tires squeal...just a crash, and a bang. My rear bumper is practically in my rear seats now. Hooray for crumple zones! No way it'll be repairable.

Now it's time for forced car-shopping - thinking about downsizing to an Altima coupe.

Nah, probably downsizing to something cheaper.

Oh yeah, had some pain in my C3-C4 vertabrae so I had the wonderful experience of being put on a backboard and carted off to the hospital for few hours. Thankfully everything was ok after the X-rays. I'm told I'll be in pain tomorrow though.

Sorry to hear about this. Hopefully you're not in too much pain today.

Thankfully, the G is a rather safe car.

Sorry to hear about this Shane. As you say thank God for crumple zones and the main thing you came out of it with no serious injuries.

Ugggghhhh...definitely hurty this morning. Took some celebrex and ibuprofen...time to call insurance and start sorting out the rental and all the other crap that comes with an accident.

Thinking back to the accident, the G did a really good job of keeping me safe. Police report says the other car hit me doing 50.

I keep flip-flopping between a new G sedan, or downsizing to an Altima coupe...decisions decisions.

Sorry to hear about that Shane but glad you are okay albeit sore for a while.

The Alti sounds like a great choice to suit your needs.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I'm glad that you're relatively okay. Good luck with insurance and hopefully your back heals fairly quickly. Ensure you get your back checked out and you go for physio. I was t-boned a long time ago in my previous car. Messed up my lower back. Doctor gave me some exercises to do, but never went for physio. Let's just say, now when the cold weather hits, I'm in a lot of pain.
